series THE ART OF LANDSCAPE & PLANTS
workshop PAINTING SPRING FLOWERS
artist DEBBIE GEORGE
location LANGCLIFFE HALL, YORKSHIRE DALES
event I am delighted to be teaming up with renowned artist, Debbie George to bring you a bespoke, new workshop at the historic and enchanting Langcliffe Hall in the Yorkshire Dales.
Debbie takes inspiration from both nature and vintage vessels to create her charming and distinctive paintings, and will share insights into her artistic process for painting flowers.
Following a walk in the garden to gather the spring flower of your choice, and benefitting from artist demonstrations, you will create your own flower painting to take home at the end of the session. Debbie will offer plenty of support and guidance during the process.
This is a rare opportunity to spend an enjoyable day with Debbie and learn from her extensive experience. Original artwork, prints, cards and her book, ‘Debbie George… Thirty Years of Painting,’ will also be available to buy.
venue The workshop is set within the grounds of Langcliffe Hall, a grade II listed Jacobean manor house nestled in the timeless and dramatic hills of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Boasting formal gardens, wildflower meadows, woodlands, and a walled garden with productive organic kitchen and medicinal borders, there is ample inspiration. Dating back to 1602, Langcliffe Hall has remained under the stewardship of the same family for over four centuries. Currently managed by Charlotte and Mark, the house continues to serve as a family home rich in history.
**Please note: Refreshments and Lunch will be in the Jacobean Dining Room of the main house and the Art Workshop will take place in the Victorian Garden Studio with Terrace. Workshop guests will have full access to the Hall’s expansive grounds.
The combination of talented artist, historic venue, and quintessential Yorkshire Dales backdrop promises to be a hugely enjoyable, informative and immersive experience.
