Landscapes & Gardens of Paris

 IN SEARCH OF GOOD DESIGN

With well over 40 combined years as garden designers and educators, Liz and Andrew appreciate the secret to good design is difficult to articulate.

Good design is subjective to the viewer; at least this is how we used to think.  But who are we to impose what we consider to be good design on anyone?

In recent years we have become increasingly aware of the importance of silence in design, be it auditory or visual representation. During this study tour we will explore together the true secret of good design, how to see it in existing spaces and how to ensure it is an essential part of our design process.

In the city of Paris, through the planted spaces and architecture we visit, we will take time to recognise silence and to learn from it.
