TEXTURE in the LANDSCAPE | FIVE SEASONS
ABOUT THIS COURSE
focus | TEXTURE
I am incredibly excited to be collaborating with talented, Yorkshire-based artist, Pippa Ashworth, to offer a series of Art Sessions exploring ‘Texture in the Landscape’
This workshop invites you to spend time looking closely at the landscape and to create a palette of texture-inspired marks that arise from your personal response to the distinctive landscapes of the Holme Valley. There will be the opportunity to work with found and ready-made tools, as you explore new ways to make meaningful marks in a creative interpretation of what you see and feel.
Across the duration of the course, we will encourage you to record the visual seasonal changes and build a chronological narrative of the year in a concertina sketchbook. Although each workshop stands alone, to get the most out of these sessions and where possible, we recommend following the seasons through the series of five workshops to give you an holistic view of the seasonal changes and your personal creative expression.
